Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Imisi has shared a harrowing story from her past, revealing that she was sexually assaulted at age 12, which led to a pregnancy and an abortion at just 13 years old.
The 23-year-old housemate opened up to her fellow contestants, Isabella, Koyin, Jason Jae, Sultana, and Mide, during a task, recounting a traumatic period that continues to haunt her.
She explained that after being expelled from her home, she sought refuge with someone else. Her mother eventually discovered her location, prompting Imisi to move to a church for sanctuary.
However, her ordeal was far from over. At the church, she was confined to a “dark storeroom” where she was assaulted a second time.
This experience, she said, left an indelible mark, making it impossible for her to be in dark places alone, even now as an adult.
“So I got raped. That was the first time I got raped in my life. I had to go to school the next day, then I was sent to go back home, then I got raped the second time, there in that same room,” Imisi recounted. “Then I later realised I was pregnant and I was just 13 years old. I had to abort the child. I feel like that traumatises me every time I cannot be in a dark place alone.”
