The English Football Association today charged Manchester United for failing to control its players during Sunday’s game against Newcastle at the Theatre of Dreams.

United players surrounded referee Craig Pawson after disallowing Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal during the 0-0 draw.

After disallowing the goal, Pawson booked Ronaldo as he led his teammates’ angry reaction to the decision.

The referee included the incident in his report on the match.

According to the FA charge, United “failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.”

Manager Erik Ten Hag also went straight to Pawson at the final whistle and said afterward: “I don’t have a comment. I shared that with them. Everyone has seen it.”
